  • How does a sleep study at DCS work?

A sleep study is done on an outpatient basis. This means that the research takes place in your own bed, at your home. This is where DCS differs from other sleep labs in hospitals. DSC works with two systems. The WatchPAT 300 and the WatchPAT ONE. You can describe both devices as a large watch that you wear around your wrist during sleep. This is the beating heart of the research. A finger probe and a sensor on the chest area register all parameters. The results are subsequently analysed. Based on that analysis, a letter of advice is written for a fellow doctor-specialist, but also for a psychologist, physiotherapist or even personal trainer.
